Billings Farm’s Baby Animal Day set for Saturday, April 7thlamb

WOODSTOCK, VERMONT . . . Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont’s rural heritage, will feature Baby Animal Day on Saturday, April 7, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The event will feature family-centered programs with the farm’s lambs, chicks, and calves, plus visiting ducklings and goslings; also horse-drawn wagon rides, heirloom garden and children’s activities.

Get up close with chicks, ducklings, and goslings in their pens, Jersey calves in the nursery, and lambs in the shee barn with their mothers, and learn about their care, diet, and growth. There will be pom-pom chick and lamb handprint craft activities on hand especially for children.

Sheep Shearing & Herding with Border Collies
Saturday & Sunday, May 5 & 6
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A weekend devoted to our Southdown sheep and their Border Collie friends. Watch the spring shearing of the farm’s ewes and demonstrations of Border Collies herding sheep in the farm fields. The Teago Volunteer Fire Department will provide lunch – all proceeds benefit the department. Admission includes a children’s art show and the 27th annual spring commemorative button. {Read More}
